I drive everywhere for this reason.
I am very happy for you, that you have the financial where-with-all as well as the inordinate amount of free time away from responsibility to permit you to spend days or weeks traveling to your destination.
Not everyone has this luxury, and we should not have to sign away our Rights to be able to "move about the Country".
Just to pose a question, what will you do when the .gov decides you are required to present travel authorization papers to go from State to State? Or when they erect border stations at each State border (conveniently managed by private companies) and you are told you cannot travel with your firearms?
You already have the same egregious infringements if you were to travel by train, a GOVERNMENT RUN organization.
As I've said before, and will continue to say, Rights are Rights. Whether it is the .gov or a private company, they should not be allowed to abridge your Rights without one HELL of a damned good reason, and scrutiny much tighter than "strict" needs to be applied to ensure the people aren't being infringed on.
