Yeah they like to shut that area down from time to time at night with no warning... I know because I need the on ramp off of church st to get onto the highway to drive to work at nights and have to turn around and drive all though elmira, elmira heights, and horseheads

I was running a little ahead of schedule that night until I looped onto 17 from 14 and saw the detour sign. Shoulda taken back roads from Montour to Owego 10 miles shorter even when 17 is open.

Even for Elmira, this had to be a joke. "4:20 am"? "200 people involved"? If so then a lot of media got taken, because this is all over the local news but with no further details as to this mystery.
