I have no knowledge of anything legal regarding Powell and the apparent 'separation' from Trump. I do have a theory though.
I'm betting Sidney and her family were threatened with violence, and death threats. This disassociation could offer albeit a modicum, of safety without providing her with a full security detail. Just conjecture on my part. We do know that lesser players have been threatened, ie: Michigan Republican not certifying the vote.

Powell has previously stated she's not getting paid by the Trump campaign. She's also started fundraising to finance here efforts in the election and other .gov corruption.

Powell has been hitting the podcasts circuit etc pretty hard all the while making some pretty bold claims "of biblical proportions" etc. Personally I'm not surprised the Trump campaign is distancing itself from her. As I've said before my personal belief is the legal case should be made through the courts and not the media.

This clarification could also give Powell the freedom to rattle cages, say weird shit and get dirt from shady people without bringing heat on the Trump team. It might also insulate Trumps team from having to disclose info to the opposition.

I agree. The expectation of instant gratification has been a huge factor here, but this latest thing with Powell just seems so odd to me and I am honestly done with thinking there is some secret master plan here. We've all endured this endless string of hope that has led us nowhere. I know in my heart Trump won the election. There is just no way after the last four years of hoax after hoax and crazy rhetoric and unadulterated arrogance and disregard for the American people from the left that Biden won. His campaign wasn't just a joke but it was basically non existant. I want Trump's team to lay the case out and expose the bad players, but right now, this really seems like a bad episode of Jersey Shore and there are no good episodes of Jersey Shore.
