Didn't there used to be a variety of emojis available for insertion into ones postings? If they are still there, I don't have them.

If you click on the three vertical dots next to the button to posta picture, more options including the emojis will pop up. It's not easy to see.
They're still there on all the methods I have of accessing the site.
Other than what @kev74 mentioned (which is determined by how wide your screen is - if things are compressed into those pull down menus with the three dots), the only other thing that immediately comes to mind is that if you've got the Toggle BB Code ..well, toggled, then the Smilies/Emoji thing to click on would be greyed out until toggled back.
EDIT: The Toggle BB code is this thing
Side note: I'm on a new machine that doesn't have Photoshop installed yet and I had to use Windows Paint to make that. Horrible
