Empty, live shotgun shells

I just emptied out the bird shot of a bunch of target shells i had laying around(don't have a shotgun anymore) but now i have a bunch of live shells sitting in a box. obviously i dont want to go throw them in the garbage, what do i do with them?

Used it to add some weight to a shooting bag. Just had it around so i used that instead of something that could be useful.

Make wax shells.

Fill them with a light weight oil. It will render the primers inert.
