Erie county amendment during covid

Anybody added a gun by mail while the offices are down? I can't find concrete proof of this anywhere and my new toy will be in next week.

As far as I know the office is closed. You may want to check website and or make a phone call. Alan is pretty good and would be open unless Polincartz nixed him.

I was wondering the same thing. The website says all services are halted until further notice, but I've also read somewhere else that you can get guns added via mail.

Checked website, and says mail ins are ok, but no news about covid and closures.



But that was normal before the closure. Think I'm just going to have to wait, unless I hear from somebody.

As far as I know they are still processing some amendments. I would mail it in and see what happens. Might take some time. Last time I mailed mine in the turnaround was less than a week but that was before all this BS. I’d imagine they’d still do it fairly quickly because the judge isn’t signing approvals. So amendments are the only thing happening. Just a guess though.

You can go about this 1 of 2 ways. If you think things are going to start opening again shortly I’d hang on to it and go in person to do it. If you mail it in you’ll be at the bottom of a huge pile. Walking up to the counter gives you immediate service.

If you think this is going to continue for another 30 days or more, mail it in and roll the dice.

I'm not taking a chance doing it by mail. Mostly cuz if it shows up and my wife grabs the mail before I do and she sees that I have literally ten times as many guns as she thinks I do... That could be a problem. I'll wait
