Erie county NY pistol permit application process

A lot has changed since I did mine so I have some questions.
My son is applying and they are still asking for social media accounts he doesn’t really have any so not concerned but thought this was a no no now. All he had was I Stratham where he posted some stupid memes.
Also they are saying now they want/recommend an enhanced concealed carry permit class after you get your pistol permit to get a concealed carry permit. He has the 18-hour course but apparently this is t good enough for them?
I’m not sure if he should apply for the concealed carry and premise permit in case they tell him no for the full carry or if they do that by default. I’m wondering if he selects both then they would simply give him the premise permit and deny the ccw?
Not sure why this needs to be so complicated but it’s NYS screwing with us.

Judge Boller is pro 2A. Your son should apply for full Unrestricted CCW. Re the social media accounts, I think that is not allowed as things stand right now. I am sure others on here are more informed on that point.

im wondering now that its not a may issue state if he only applies for the CCW do they have to give it to him. He has nothing in his past not even a speeding ticket, heck not even a parking ticket.
I agree the social media thing is on hold and ruled unconstitutional but it’s still there and they say they won’t accept the application if incomplete. Maybe I’ll head to the office with him and say this was ruled unconstitutional does he need to fill it in or email them ahead of time. Also the instructor told him 4-6 weeks to get an answer but that seems really fast but maybe with Bruen if there’s nothing in your past they rubber stamp them.

I would take the info re the social media crap being on hold down to the EC PPO and ask to speak with Allen Brown in person. He is the senior clerk there, and he is very reasonable and informative overall,- although he may not tell you what you want to hear! Whatever you do though, - DO NOT mention me in any way, - that would only hurt your case as I am on their shitlist from years ago...

I would submit the application, leaving the social media line blank. He should be prepared to politely state that since the requirement to submit to social media searches was struck down the information will not be provided.

Regarding their recommendation for additional training after the permit is issued, they can piss off. That being said, more training is always good.

Can you not simply put "N/A" in the Social media section(s). It completes the application. And its correct.
