25 Delaware has always been decent about checking a weapon. They don't seem to like it, but they've never caused a problem. You're there on business, and they have a security protocol, so they accomodated people with a weapon. I was there last May, and there was no issue. But now, with Hochul's new bullshit, I'm wondering if anything has changed. I have no desire to go to downtown Buffalo unarmed, and there's no damn way I'm locking anything in a vehicle. I'll probably take the motorcycle Monday, so there's nowhere to lock it anyways. With the CCIA I would look online and if it doesn’t say that you can I would not do it. The CCIA says simply entering their property with a CCW is a felony. Alternatively you can lock one in a lockbox in your truck, but with all the thefts recently I’m not sure I would do that either
I understand how they were in the past but it wasn’t illegal then, but it is now. I understand you not wanting to go downtown unarmed and I certainly don’t blame you but I don’t think it is wise to bring a gun there concealed. The CCIA specifically says it’s a felony and I truly worried you will be promptly arrested and charged. Truly best of luck to you and let us know what you decide, maybe you’ll be the guy that has standing.25 Delaware has always been decent about checking a weapon. Hoping someone with first hand knowledge chimes in here. @GOPerfect ?
Good to know. Thanks for the update because the way the law is written just entering their property is a felony. Glad to see a bit of common sense is still practiced. For anyone interested, you can still check a weapon upon entering 25 Delaware. The process is the same as before. They still would prefer you leave it home, but will accommodate you. As before, use discretion when informing them that you need to check your weapon, and have your permit ready.
