ACTION NEEDED: A few days from now, *anyone* with a regular internet connection and a 3D printer will be able to make their own untraceable guns in just a couple clicks. This includes terrorists and people who can’t pass a background check.

Incomprehensibly, the Trump State Department is about to allow a company run by a self-proclaimed anarchist to post its gun blueprints online in files that can be sent directly to a 3D printer to print guns on demand.

To add more danger to this situation, many of these guns can be printed entirely in plastic, so metal detectors won’t catch them. These plastic guns could easily be snuck onto airplanes, into music festivals and government buildings.

3D printed guns will also undermine the work of law enforcement, who may recover untraceable guns at crime scenes and find their criminal investigations stymied before they even get off the ground.

Downloadable guns completely undermine our federal and state firearm laws, which at their core block gun access for the people who pose the most serious danger to the public.

they make it sound like you click a button and get an AR15 ready to mow down a school that is not traceable and is able to go thru a security checkpoint undetected.
there must be some metal parts even for a single shot. ammo is still needed for any of these guns

these are the exact same arguments used when blocks came to the market.

Indeed. But the inventor put the nail and steel piece in there to comply with law. There are almost certainly plastics hard enough to set off a primer but rocks and diamonds are very hard too...

The files are already circulated and on many a server stored prior to the shutdown by DHS. Horse is already out of the barn. And quite frankly, having the files, blueprints or books with detailed dimensions of a gun is not illegal, not should it's digital representation be so.

But anyways... Maybe they could quell their mass psychosis hysteria by demanding that the Gov't provide classIII BP vests to all citizens who want them! At least that's something they "could" accomplish, instead of spreading their nail biting anxieties to the jellyfish minded progressives...
