I would be equally pissed off, and would take joy in seeing someone misusing their position of authority receiving a figurative beat-down. In this instance, its more entertaining because of the hypocrisy - someone from the party that claims to stand for the working class using their influence to angle for special favors and threaten someone who is working class.

If it were a Trump aid (or ex aid) doing this, I would still enjoy watching the cops not give in to those threats, as well as the personal fallout that followed, but I probably wouldn't be so giddy about it.
