Sounds like she had a valid pistol permit. While I'm very much against gun free zones, how stupid could this chick be to bring a gun into a school. I have a very hard time believing she didn't know it was illegal.
I especially like the fear mongering in this article (emphasis mine):
School administrators then put the school on lockdown. The Clarkstown Police Department school resource officer responded to the school on Parrott Road and found a loaded, black Ruger 9mm handgun in the purse.
There were also four loaded magazines containing 28 rounds of ammunition, of which 14 were hollow-point rounds, the news release says.
Oh no! Not the scary hollow point boolits! @Willjr75, do you think you should contact the school and tell them that regular ammo is more deadly than hollow points? I mean she was carrying a 9mill so she must've had murder on her mind!
