Extra space deleted when hitting backspace?

Bear w/ me as I try to explain this.

If I am typing a word, and I go to delete the word, as soon as I delete the first letter of the word, the space that separates it and the previous word also gets deleted as well.

Seems like a new thing, anyone else notice it?

No but I find whenever I try to tag someone with the "@" I wind up having to fight with the editor to write anything more than just the user's name.

When ever weird stuff happens, I shut the phone or computer down and try again. Last week, as I was typing the letters were going in backwards order.

I'm pretty sure its a feature and not a bug.

also no capitalization after hitting return to start a new paragraph.
