Facebook gun groups.

A couple months ago while I was bored, I decided to check out some of the gun groups on FB. I have never had a FB page or ever posted a single thing. Im there strictly for the groups.
I have never seen so much misinformation, dangerous information or argumentative bunch of keyboard warriors.
Ive heard everything from WD40 is great to clean and protect firearms to warning shots are a great idea, and even that if you dont shoot a bad guy in the leg, you WILL go to prison forever. Ive heard that ALL handguns are junk from the manufacturer and that if you do not change your trigger, spring, mag well, sights, barrel, and stippling at a minimum.... your gun will fail and you will die. Ive heard that showing your firearm to an annoying neighbor is 100% fine in ALL states as long as you dont point it at anyone. Ive learned that teaching kids to not touch guns is ALWAYS better than a safe. Ive heard that if you dont shoot 1 moa from 50 yards with your self defense handgun, you should not carry a gun. Ive heard that the cops have NO RIGHT to remove your firearm from your person under ANY circumstance.
And tons, and tons more great information.
This all comes as advice to new shooters from "experts".
I honestly do not understand how these people arent in jail or dead.
These guys wouldnt last 30 seconds around here!!
Thank god for the 2nd amendment.... so even idiots can own guns!!

They had a facebook discussion on Remington 770s last week. They're the same thing as a model 700, maybe better. Also compared it to Winchester 70s, Brownings. And 30/06 is a great caliber for 90lb women and kids because thats what my dad had.

I’ve seen worse from people who have been around d guns their entire lives. I watched some one give their grandson a BB gun that was 6 and has developmental disabilities. The kid promptly put it to their forehead like he was going to commit suicide and the awe how cute smile on the grandpas face was the most concerning thing I’ve ever seen.
Finny thing is they keep telling me to bring my guns so this kid can shoot. Funny I forget them when the kids around.

I do it 100% for fun and entertainment.
I do not make posts or encourage/discourage idiots.
It is concerning that FB is where 99% of anti gunners will look at gun culture.
The amount of tough guys talking about "self defense" while posting anti leftist and anti Biden memes is a recipe to discourage possible new shooters and to fuel anti gunners.

Just last night I heard that practice with your self defense handgun is NOT necessary. Because in a self defense situation you will not need or remember training because the encounter will be 2 rounds from 3 feet....no aiming or practice necessary.
This was advice given to a 23 year old guy with his first firearm ever and a brand new CCW who said he didnt have much opportunity to fire his new weapon.

I also recently heard that HP ammo is just overpriced "novelty" and PROVEN to be unnecessary. Proof is that the military has used FMJ in combat for 200 years.
And over penetration is not a thing if you dont miss.

This is stated in most trainings about the two rounds from 3 feet or les.
the first formal training I went to by a reputable company was a joke they set up targets and had us shoot from 4-5 feet away until a participant almost lost ab eye from a bullet fragment. It was a comedy show.
