Fair price for Henry H001

My buddy is looking for a .22 for his wife and kids to shoot. I have a Henry H001 that I think I got on sale for $265. I see they are selling for $300 now. I shot 300-500 round through it and it is as new. I put a cabels scope on it that’s about $70-$80. I thought my kids would enjoy it more, but they lie their semi autos. I have 6 other .22’s and use this one the least. What’s a fair price to ask from a good friend. I was thinking $240 for everything. He doesn’t have much money and I’m honestly not hurting for cash. He works hard and helps me with landscaping. What do you all think?

I might. I’ll leave it up to him. I pay him well. I pay him about $30/hour. So it wont take him long.

I think letting him work for it is a great idea. You have about $340 into it (rifle and scope) so if you value it at $240 he’s getting a 30% discount on a like new rig. I’d say that’s a good deal for him.

Some kid down the block was next door playing with their kids while I was airbrushing a motorcycle tank, And he asked me if I would paint his bicycle, I said yeah maybe one day, figuring I'd get rid of him, nope. He kept bothering me and bothering me. He said his dad built him a chopper bike . It was pretty cool , So I painted it candy apple red and pinstriped it , gave him a sportster tank and mural it. I put a $1200 paint job on a $200 bike.LOL

The kid and his dad loved it though, it won some contests. I didn't charge him. He grew up and went in the service and when he got back he never forgot about the kick ass paintjob I gave him. The smile on that's kid and his dads face was worth it.I know what its like to be broke and want something you cant possibly afford.

He details cars so I think I’ll have him detail the outside of both my cars as a fair swap. He charges $125-$150 for a complete inside and outside detail job. He buffs the car, seals it, then waxes it. He’s nuts for charging that little.
