Anyone going to try this? I am going out today to chrono a new club member's rifle with factory loads so he can duplicate it when he starts reloading. I will probably shoot this target today because we are supposed to have good weather.

Well no luck today with the target, the winds were enough to play with the bullets so it was not a day for precision. I did get to shoot steel at 200 and 300 today though. Striking a 12 inch diamond at 300 yards in the wind is easier than hitting a 0.20" bullseye at 100 anyway of the week.

Grrr @dsdmmat its election SHTF time and wanting us to shoot up ammo LOL .. I dont have a printer .. but will grab a target and shoot at 100 if i can get to the range soon .. got some blc2 loaded up and loading up some AR Comp .. will see what happens with the savage bolt ...

So here is my target from September, I will have to try it again this weekend to see if I can do better.
I shot it with a 30 inch Hart barreled Remington 700 chambered in 30-06 with a Nikon 8-32x40 monarch scope on top of it. Rested on a sandbag front and rear. My load was 168 grain Sierra HPBT on top of 59.5 grains of H4831 SC and a Winchester primer in Winchester cases. Score is 90.

Well I didn't do as well with my SCR heavy barrel than I did with my Rem700 but I shot a 74 today.
Load: 52gr Sierra hp, 24.6 grains BLC(2), CCI 400, LC Cases.
Gun: Ares SCR, 20 inch heavy barrel .223 chamber, topped with a 4-12x40 Nikon.
Rest: sandbag front and rear

I pulled two shots being in a hurry I suppose. It is definately harder seeing the little bulls with a 12 power than a 32 power scope. The weather was great for shooting with just a slight breeze and 47 degrees is comfortable to shoot in.

We will be closing this challenge at the end of the month November so, get your targets up if you want in on this. The next challenge will be posted with a start date of 1 December and go to New Year's Day.

Was planning on shooting this today but the Ballistic CQ reticle just aint made for smaller targets. The 100 yard dot is just way to big. I will have to use the Marlin.

I hear you, my 3-9x40 Nikon crosshairs covered the small circles so much that I figured if I couldn't see any portion of the circle I must be on it. That target sucked I think I scored a little under 50 on it. I switched to the 4-12x40 and had a little better sight picture. It was still covered but the cover the circle approach worked for three of them.

Hoping to get out there Saturday morning at Blue mtn, if anyone wants to meet up.
Hoping to put down 3 or 4 10 round groups from my AR and 1 group from my 35rem deer guns to test out the handloads at the lower temps.

I will do it again later this week with Blazer 40 grain. Probably at 50 or 75 yards if I can't tighten my shit up.
