Favorite Holster Manufacturer

So who is your go-to holster manufacturer? I realize it depends greatly on personal preference, IWB or OWB and availability for the gun you carry but was curious who everybody likes. I have a box full of holsters that either don't use anymore of don't like all that much (and I'm sure many on here are the same way).

I like the N82 professional style holsters but they only make them for a few select types of guns (mostly Glocks and 1911's it seems). I have a Bianchi for my 6-inch revolver which I like and a Blackhawk holster for my J-Frame which I like as well (both OWB). Never tried Alien Gear but have heard good things.

So what rig do you carry with you?

I love all three holsters for retention, fit, and comfort.

For kydex, not nearly as picky, using some small name people as well as Blackhawk and Bladetech.

If I don't want to wait usually galco. I like leather better for the most part. I have high noon, allesi, milt sparks and a few others. They are all quality although I like the high noon the least. It squeaks more than any holster I have owned.

I've used a N8 2 professional holster for four years with my Ruger SR40c. Very comfortable all day long. Great retention. Easy on/off. No part of pistol touches my body

M&P Shield 9mm - finally seem to have settled on a StealthGear USA "Mini"... been meaning to post a mini (HA!) review but keep putting it off. Basically - it's expensive, but comfortable as hell. Their new "Revolution" model is half the price.. guess I'd be concerned with longevity (wear and tear), but for the price it seems they're trying to compete with Aliengear holsters, which I did not like.

Ruger SR1911 - I only has a Milt Sparks Summer Special which is very comfortable for me, almost as much as the Shield (except for weight).

I also have a variety of other holsters (both IWB and OWB) for my M&P9c. A White Hat Holsters 'hybrid' (leather and Kydex), and an all-Kydex OWB holster that was made by (I believe) ROCity Holsters before they vanished. Actually really like that holster too.

Have to agree - bought one for my XD 9mm sub-compact - can't re-holster 1-handed because the second you draw, the holster collapses - it was sent back the next day. Some don't think that's really an important consideration, but it has been with everyone I've trained with, especially if you're doing sidearm-long gun transitions.

DeSantis, Safariland mostly. BladeTech just made me a mid-ride kydex for my "5 629 . Seems like it will work, but I haven't gone anywhere since surgery on 10/24. New R hip. I'm confident I'll be out and about shooting, fishing and hiking in the spring.
