Stands to reason any gun any law enforcement agency finds effective at protecting themselves an society would be effective at self defense.

I have pointed out the irony to some work friends, while we are outside at Rock Center eyeballing the daily 20 minute show of force/security theater from NYPD ESU, that for some reason those guys need standard furniture and mags to protect a skating rink, a hot dog stand, and the Lego store- but obviously I don't need the same to protect my family and home.
