Interesting cartridge. I find these polymer jacketed rounds interesting in general.
I bought a case of the red practice stuff on a good sale fro Gander. It was fine, didn't preform in any special way but it was fine.

I did notice a thin red residue but Hoppes no. 9 cleaned it out easily. I wouldn't worry about it besides, can't be any worse than copper fouling.

I was actually somewhat impressed with this round.. mostly for how well it actually worked. But still find fragmentation rounds to be not as good as standard hollow points

So with this round after the petals break off, you basically end up having a .380 Acp FMJ doing the work of penetrating to vitals. The petals that break off only penetrate to 9 inches.

9 inches in gel is only a few inches in a body. So those petals will only do superficial, non life threatening damage. What’s left is a solid projectile doing the actual work of penetrating to vitals.

Well, it's way, way cheaper than that ripper round and it does the same thing. And the consistency was very good. I mean I am sticking with my HSTs but I thought these were interesting.
