Well the kwik fill thing is not totally true. Most of their locations in Buffalo and Rochester area get thier fuel from Buckeye terminals. Brooks Ave in Rochester and Elk St. In Buffalo. That fuel comes up the Buckeye pipeline through Horseheads NY, I don't get to that terminal anymore but I imagine if there is KFs down there it comes from there. That is not gas from United refining. I'm not sure where the head/input is on that line but it's not Warren.

In fact United in Warren was shut down last week(mantainence i think) and Buffalo buckeye was backed up with trucks. There was a time when KF gas came out of Canada, some may still. It's all about price, when you load 12K gallons on the wagon a 1/10 of a cent a gallon makes a big deal especially when you have 50-60 truckloads/day being pulled.

United has a terminal in Tonawanda NY, all there fuel comes up from Philly through Sunoco's SXL pipeline. I'm not sure but I think the only thing they get is distillates, diesel, kero or jet anymore.

I always laugh when I see those commercials and know first hand it's just a bit misleading.

All of Kwik Fill fuel comes from United Refining, 100% of it. Kwik Fill is owned by the Red Apple Group which ownes United Refining. They are very proud of the fact they use 100% American crude oil and use 100% American workers.
I live right near UR and know many, many people that work there.

I load right alongside the guys that deliver to the kwik fills In Buffalo and Rochester, they are not getting fuel from United. It's all about price, the cost of delivery to say the the KF on Transit Rd in Lockport would be more than double if they pulled it out of Warren rather than Buffalo. It's all about the money when it comes down to it.

My uncle has worked there in sales and marketing for 35 years, my cousin has worked for their Fleet division for 20 years, my friend is the regional manager for Kwik Fill, another friend is a mechanic on their trucks, another delivers as far as Ohio and Buffalo.
Buffalo is only 90 miles fron Warren, thats not far.
Seeing that you dont agree, I emailed them.
They state very clearly that ALL fuel in Buffalo absolutely comes from Warren PA, which ive known for decades as an absolute fact.
United opened Kwik Fill to sell THEIR product and have sinse opening.
Heres their email responce.

Where is your truck terminal in Buffalo? You see I have not seen one of those trucks at your stations in a long time. The trucks I do see are Crosset trucks and are loading at Buckeye partners in Buffalo. You see there isn't, you don't have one.

Where is your bulk diesel storage in Buffalo? It's not a secret there isn't one. While you do have a facility on River Rd in Tonawanda NY is it not serviced by the Sunoco Logistics SXL pipeline? That pipeline has no connection to the facility in Warren does it?

Now how about the facility in Rochester, is it not a fact it is on the Buckeye partners pipeline? How is that tied into the facility in Warren?

Still trying to figure out why those Green trucks load at buckeye and drive to the KF and unload.

While it is true Kwik Fill/Red Apple has it's own trucks their fleet is no large enough to service all there stations. I have also seen them use KAG, Kenan Advantage Group to deliver their stations.

Logistically you cannot rely on one pull point, it won't work. I've been doing this long enough to know what goes on in this business.

Also, I talked to their petroleum products managager, John Schwanke, whos said under zero circumstances does any fuel from the Buckeye terminal go to any Kwik Fills. All Kwik Fill fuel comes directly from United Refinery. He said if anyone doesnt believe this to contact him at jschwanke@urc.com
Here's the second email from UR.
This was in response to my email to them stating that I was told Crossett trucks are picking up at Buckeye and being delivered to Kwik Fill.


I can assure you none of the fuels that are being delivered to Kwik Fill comes from the Buckeye Terminal, they are all out of United Refining Company. The Buckeye Terminal is not associated with United Refining Company at all. Crossett’s headquarters is a few blocks from United Refining Company in Warren, PA and they are one of our largest transporters for our Kwik Fill Stations. The tanker would fill up at our refinery in Warren in the morning and drop that gasoline and/or diesel fuel at a Kwik Fill. Crossett Inc. is not a division of United Refining Company so we cannot speak for them, but we are sure they do not want a truck driving back to Warren, PA empty so they may pick up products at Buckeye Terminal in Buffalo to deliver somewhere else on their way back.

Well this only makes me wonder why they perpetuate this lie, hmmmmm.
It's not like it's a big secret among driver's, everyone has multiple pull points.
Gas is gas especially since they started the top tier distribution, I can get Sunoco product anywhere as with any "brand name" gas. The only difference is the additive.

Marsha is a company schill, towing the line but it makes me wonder, is she dumb or is something nefarious going on. Clearly you don't know what you don't know. I guess all these drivers loading at buckeye and going straight to a KF is a figment of mine and their imagination as I showed this to a couple driver's last night, gave us all a good laugh in the midst of a miserable night on the road.

I wonder what Marsha would reply about where the gas cones from when they shutdown every year for a few weeks and stores only have maybe 2 days of inventory, and no product coming out of the terminal.
