Un-fucking-believable. This idiot lets his city burn and then has the gall to petition for disaster relief due to his own action. To hell with him and every member of the city government. I truly hope the citizens of that city gather them up for tar and feathers. However, since this is a democratic city they will blindly re-elect the same people or those with similar beliefs. So I say - to hell with all of them. Let the city burn and its residents reap what they have sown.Walz had petitioned President Donald Trump on July 2 to declare parts of Minnesota as a "major disaster" due to the extensive damage to public infrastructure caused by rioting.
wasn't a act of nature .. hurricane , earthquake , flood .. ect .. FEMA is not for Riot Control ..
its all on you Walz lol .. pay up ..

Conservatives need to learn how to hit the pavement and protest. Hell last Albany rally for unSafe Act many were not going to go because Albany declined protest permits. Need to find out what puts a bug up Andy's ass and put one there permanently. There has to be another way to remove these dangerous politicians (and no, I don't mean via the ammo box).
Think on this:
This mayor told the police in his State to stand down and let the rioting happen. Ignoring the monetary damage that occurred, and that this moron is demanding help with, his actions deliberately put civilian lives at risk.
Instead of just denying his monetary request, why is he not being arrested?
The problem is that the taxpayers who will foot the bill are now in the minority.Your own authorities let your citizens destroy your biggest city.
That's on you pal.
Not our problem.
You allowed it to happen now you have to deal with the aftermath. It's no one else's responsibility. If MN taxpayers have to shoulder the burden and their taxes go up to pay hopefully they are mad enough to vote those out who didn't live up to their duties and who allowed the mob to rule.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.

My dad use to say, "you break it, you fix it." Money is money, especially if your parents pay for your screw up. But if you have to sweat and get your hands dirty picking up a mess, cleaning up broken glass and burnt buildings you just might learn two lessons. Do the clean up under the supervision of the victims and then pay for insurance payment increases. Jail time and fines my ass, victims will never be truly compensated for the failure of their government.I agree. Pay for it yourselves.
Too busy working.Conservatives need to learn how to hit the pavement and protest. Hell last Albany rally for unSafe Act many were not going to go because Albany declined protest permits. Need to find out what puts a bug up Andy's ass and put one there permanently.
Wreck more lawns......
GOP is non vocal and too passive.
agree. It is a fatal flaw. The problem is that the taxpayers who will foot the bill are now in the minority.
The people who caused this largely don't pay taxes. They aren't going to get the bill, and they know it.
But they do vote, and they will continue to vote for the taxpayers to fund their antics.
It is a flaw of democracy if you allow non taxpayers a vote in how tax money is spent.
This has long been identified as a fatal flaw in democracy.
