I think the next thing will be to get rid of LP and NG to get rid of people having whole house gensets to run their electric stove, electric heat pump, electric water heater, electric clothes dryer, electric refrigerator... etc, etc...

She’s an idiot and wrong on this. Yes it’s starts in NYC and NYS as a ban on gas for new builds but then it phases out to everyone eventually.
But Ocasio-Cortez argued that the "proposal" to ban gas stoves was a perfectly reasonable one. "The way we are handling it in NYC isn’t to force people to switch what they already have. Folks can keep their appliances, and new buildings in NYC will have gas-free stoves. As for federally, any proposal from the CPSC would go through a quite lengthy review and input process."

So who’s going to hoard gas stoves like we do other things? I guess my plan of driving to PA to get a gas stove might be in jeopardy when NYS bans it. It seems like this is just a ban on new builds though?
Funny how our life expectancy was the highest it’s ever been prior to the pandemic and fentanyl. I’ve never seen cooked too much as a cause of death. Do chefs die young?

This is a scam. The research they are siting to do this claimed to not know where the fumes come from and they do specifically say that switching to electric may not change it because it’s based on how and what you’re cooking. This is second hand from the Ben Shapiro podcast so if it’s wrong yell at him not me.
