Always been illegal as far as I know. The judge made up a law and he did not have the authority to do so.

Country Max has a section of mineral licks for deer (they're oddly similar to the ones for horses, but different packaging). The entire section, and all the products, say that it's illegal to feed deer with them, yet they're still for sale.

Makes a lot of sense. Yay lawyers!

I thought feeding was not illegal as long as hunting was not involved but I was wrong.

I have been trying to bring a lawsuit against the state due to, deer crossing signs on roads, people are still running the deer over in the designated crossing areas, we need more studies, if only one deer life is saved, it's for the little ones, perhaps we could reduce the lanes on rt.81 to one with a 6" berm in the centre and lower the speed to 45 mph (sorry I got mixed up with Onondaga Lake Parkway and liberal talking points!).
