Felony DUI, Guns at Risk?

Guy I indirectly know was arrested for Felony DWI and some related charges with no other legal problems in the past. He has an extensive collection of handguns and long guns. Can his arms be seized before he is convicted? In my county, I think its unlikely a judge would pull his permit preemptively, but the SP seems to do whatever they want.

Yes, they did that to someone i know. He gave them to an ffl. Do NOT turn them over to LE. Ive heard of too many nightmares trying to get them back with missing items, etc...

Felony DWI is hard to get.......................have to have multiple DWI's.

How did he keep his guns in the past?

a friend of mine had this happen to him they took his permit and tried to take his guns they were also on his wife's permit so they couldn't. he took them to court the judge reinstated his permit and said it was bullshit, he was lucky he got a good judge.

Not that I'd put myself into that position, IF I were arrested and it looked like they'd pull my guns, the call I'd make before the Lawyer would be to a Gun Dealer to come and collect everything before hand...you can argue innocent until proved guilty, even the fallacy of Red Flag Laws, but the bottom line is once they have your Guns, getting them back is a Sisyphean task.
