I have often advocated this position. It will have the added benefit of the parties not being able to ignore any state, and the revenues which come along with the attention. The drawback to this is there is a possibility for no one to get the magic 270 number.

None of this will ever happen because it will benefit the republicans. Hey what would have been great is when they controlled all houses and the White House that they would have done something like this. They didn’t because they suck. I’m completely sick of them and the stupid comments Trump made. This is why he lost. All he had to do to win was denounce white supremacy more forcefully. He played both sides and lost.

The people that don't like him because "he's wacist" wouldn't have been conviced he's not "wacist" if he stabbed a neo-Nazi through the heart with a spoon on live TV because all of the TV they watch tells them he's "wacist". Any contrary information is irrelevant to them.

He lost a lot of women and independents and I’d guess this is why. His remark of stand by indicates he’s with them and to wait for his word to act. He tried to play both sides on this issue and it backfired. Also young people do not want to tolerate this.
If we did hand out electoral votes based on percentages, the people would indeed be better represented. However, this--or the idea of splitting states--would negate the purpose of the electoral college. This country, being a democratic republic, gives the states' endorsements based on who won the state. Moving toward more direct representation would move the country closer to true democracy, but may risk the further erosion of states' rights.

Don’t get me wrong I do t think he’s anymore racists than Biden is. In fact it seems he’s less racist if you look at who he has hired at his businesses. Lots of minorities and gay folks. So what’s that tell you. I’m not saying he’s racist just saying his statements opened that door to a lot of people and if you continually hear trumps a racist trumps a racist and he says this what’s one to think? My wife knows a few people who told her specifically were voting for trump or on the fence until he said that. They ended up voting for Biden. She warned me a few days ago that she noticed this trend and it could lose him the election. I agree with her on this point.
