Finally made the move out of NYS. Landed in Austin, Texas. Pretty great city.

Not sure what to do about conceal carry. I know you need to be a resident of Texas for 6 months before you apply for your CCW. I have my PA CCW. Would I still be allowed to carry in TX since they recognize it?

Are you sure about the 6 month rule? Take your current permut down and see what they say.

Once you have a texas DL i dont think you can carry on your pa permit as you are now a tx resident (and that pa permit is hinged in another state ir. Ny.). Pa told me if and when i got a pa DL all i had to do was bring in my pa non res and they would change it that day.....and the non res was not valid if i had a pa Dl. But verify that too.
