I do know him. This isn't his bill. He previously worked in the Broome County Sheriff's dept as an undercover drug guy. He worked his way up to run the road patrol division. He is a big supporter of the 2nd amendment, and our area in general. I've seen a few other polls he's done. One was fairly long shortly after he was elected. For the most part the poll results I've seen have leaned pretty conservative. My thought is that he generally knows what the outcome is going to be and polls to prove it.

I've had some pretty long conversations with him in the past, he is a decent guy and supportive of the 2nd. Something I really like about him, he's always willing to sit with his constituents to discuss issues and puts on a lot of town hall events for people to get up and close with him. He's not your usual snobby Congressman. Very down to earth.
Hell, my sister in law rear ended him last year lmao. He didn't give a shit about any damage just asked if she was ok and told the BPD he had everything covered. They left.

I'm not doing that poll. But if someone is looking for things to say -

Username/password surrender without warrant is typically unlawful on it's face - it is a violation of pretty much every user agreement, which means it would violate DMCA in many cases, and felony violations of CFAA in others. For more information on this, look at how many years people have been sentenced for unauthorized use of a blue-checkmark's username/password on Twitter or whatever.
It's also unlawful on grounds of self incrimination; you cannot be compelled to surrender a password unless you have admitted ownership of the account.
In short, if they pass this trash? The answer is, "I don't have any, and none of those are mine." Even the ACLU would have to intervene - which would be funny as hell.

Crap legislation like this would happen a lot less if govt lawyers were subject to the same malpractice suits as private ones are.
