These gun buybacks aren't green, and they are literally creating more greenhouse gasses.

Those guns should be recycled, and given to disadvantaged people who can't afford to take advantage of their 2nd Amendment rights.

Why do commies hate the environment???

That table of rifles looks like the ones you see at a NY gunshow. Nothing I would take even for free.

ETA: I take that back. 4th from left looks like a Sharps, but a beat up one.

If there is anything in that pile of collectors value, it will be snatched up by an officer. That's reality.

Love the sign. "end gun violence" Violence it a behavioral issue. But that's what all laws seeks to do, control behavior, control you.

In an unpresented stroke of genius, the New Rochelle Police Department is taking advantage of this months Pride Month by hosting a Butt Plug Buy-Back program to run along side the gun buy-back effort. Citizens that turn in a firearm and a butt plug are entered the 2024 Summer New Rochelle Trany WallaPaloosa and the grand prize.

I've got at least a dozen that I'd gladly sell for the stupid money they pay.

I really hate how ignorant some folks are when it comes to antiques, especially old guns.

Bring it to a local gun dealer and get real money for it after you do some research on price.

I've run into folks where they think an old 12 gauge is junk, then I look quick online and see that same gun in the same rough shape, and it's worth a few hundred bucks.

Back in the 90's, I was with friends in VT and we stopped by what looked like an estate sale. The widow was selling her late husbands items and there was an old Win 94 octagon barrel 30 30 lever action rifle with a few other clearly vintage firearms. She wanted $90 for it. I couldn't do it. I told her son that the rifle was worth way more and that they should remove them all from sale and head over to a local gun store for a proper assessment of value. They did just that. Hopefully she got a lot more for the collection.

Upon closer inspection, the guns in the photo *might* be the same ones in other photos promoting the successes with the gun buyback events held across NYS. They just might be recycling the guns to show off the supposed success of the program.
