First build Is A Can Cannon

First build with a little help from the girlfriend. Had some spare parts so I decided to build a can cannon. The magazine release is SUPER tight, I have to fight to grab the mag out. Guess it’ll be a improvised fixed mag. This lower is specifically for the can cannon and won’t ever be attached to a rifle upper in NY FUAC!, and yes the faux barrel is plug so it’s not a short barrel and this is bolt action.

Girlfriend really enjoy assembling stripped lowers with me, I was having difficulties with the small springs and detents, other than that I could see myself building one every month. Is the mag release supposed to be super tight?? The mag won’t come out unless I force it out, same for take down pins but that’s understandable.

Yeah, the detents and small springs can suck. Do make sure you wear some eyewear to protect yourself. I’ve had more than one bounce off something and hit the glasses. As for the mag release, it shouldnt be an effort at all for the mag to drop free.

I’ll press the mag release and that mag ain’t coming out. You have to pull with force. Idk if I fucked something up.

Could be the magazine your using also check lower wall area where mag makes contact
