I've had my pistol permit for only a few short months. Early on when I joined NY Gun Forum, a few older members recommended that I take some training classes. I'm glad I took that advice to heart.
Trained with Ben of Onsight and he was a great instructor. He broke things down so any idiot can follow what he's saying. In addition, he was patient but direct in his approach to diagnosing and correcting my mistakes . There is only so much that can be done in a span of a single class but I walked away feeling more confident and equipped with a game plan on how I can improve my shooting. Follow up classes will not be too far behind if only I didn't have so many other obligations in life (kids, work, mortgage, all that other junk).
If any other newbies are reading this post, I highly recommend signing up with Onsight Firearms Training. I opted for a private class of two hours and it was worth every, single, penny.
