I pulled into the driveway last Wednesday and a Doe with a tiny fawn were standing about 200' in front of me, couldn't get my phone out fast enough to get a picture.
Had a doe give birth here just a few days ago. Was cool... The mama's are very protective of their young'uns.
Out this AM walking the trails and noticed another youngster. Was hanging in the brush waiting for momma to come back and feed it.
Was cutting hay this weekend at my cousins farm and saw quite a few fawns.
Had to take a fawn away from one of the German shorthairs too.
That fawn was screaming it's little heart out the whole time we were trying to catch the dog.
We rinsed the fawn off with water and dried it, as the dog really slobbered all over it and we were able to check it for any damage.
Never saw the doe, but the fawn was gone the next morning.
Slowed down yesterday morning as a doe crossed the road in front of me, looking to see if there were more when a little spotted one scampered a cross in front of me had to hit the brakes. Both made it to the other side!
I walked out the door to go to a party this afternoon and these two little shits were bedded down in the garden in my front yard. They let me get to within about 15 feet of them to take the picture.
