This is why I posted it. So what if the guns are locked in a safe and he doesn’t have the combination? Is that access? No one in my home but me has the combinations to my safes.

Red Flag laws will be used by the Government as an easy way to infringe upon good people.

Taking these guns away will do nothing.

If this kid is a serious threat and if he broke the laws, arrest him and lock him up.

I know its grasping at straws but it seems they had to file a petition with the court, so we can only hope there will be some semblance of due process.At least they arent breaking down doors taking guns from basically anybody that knows the kid and may have him in the house. Based on basically some asshats misguided fears .....yet.
"Also Wednesday, Kendall schools in Orleans County, called police after they were alerted to a concerning social media post. The school said police found "no credible threat." At least that one turned out ok, it would seem. Before you go jumping down my throat, I am in no way defending these red flag laws.They exist and we cant do a whole lot about it in the moment, but at least in the first case theres a chance that due process will apply and somebody besides the police will have a look at the facts and do the right thing, just gotta hope he gets the right judge, in the case I quoted from the end of that article, they saw the complaint for what it was.I dont use any of the big social media platforms, just sites like this.With everybody having access to your online activity, like in job applications and god knows who else, you have to be out of your mind to use facebook or tweeter and whatnot.

I believe it doesn't matter they'll remove anything firearm related including the safe
