First Time Firearm Owners

With all the new firearm owners panic buying guns (which I fully support new gun ownership) and the lack of training options open for business it seems that there will be an uptick in the incidence of accidents with firearms due to inexperience. Negligent discharges, shot with "unloaded" guns, improper securing guns leading to access by minors, etcetera, etcetera. Interested in everyones thoughts on this topic. What do you all think?

In my experience its not new gun owners that cause negligent discharges but long time gun owners becoming complacent.

I'd like to hope new gun owners get in the fight to keep their new found tools. I fear this will not be the case.

I go to bed every night looking forward to the bargains to be had on the used racks come Christmas.

New gun owners, especially women, are less likely to have an ND than well seasoned, know it all gun owners, as @Criticalt stated. I would not lose any sleep over it if I were you.

I think once the pandemic is over there will be a lot of unfired pre-owned guns for sale.

About 80% disagree with the Long Time gun owner being complacent and in the Know it all category . Fore those comments put us in that category.
there people who had Firearms for 20/30 years and never fired them . Or maybe 1 -2 rounds a year on paper. Our / your job is to teach the new owners the safety you have learned over the many years. The Most dangerous ones are the FUD hunters
