Fishing charters

My son wants to catch a big salmon of steelhead. He’s a good kid and fishes a lot and he does a good job. He’s coming on 14 so I would like to take him on a charter. I live not to far from Lake Erie or Lake Ontario any suggestions?

Theres a ton of good charters up there. Check out cold steel in altmar or shane thomas the river guide. Ive fished with shane he is very good and has beautiful new cabins to stay in.

I was looking more at boats for the lake not stream fishing but I’ll keep those guys in mind.

No those are boats. Most charters do both. Shane Thomas is one of the top charters up there. Cold steel is very well known as well.

I have gone 2x with a guy named Ed on "The Other Woman" Charters. Don't know if he is good or bad, but we caught a few fish both times despite it being poor times of the year. Out of Oswego, reasonably priced. 315 532-0693

I know you’re not in the lake Champlain area but if you were to venture that far , I could recommend one for you that I have used a few times when my oldest was growing up.He had the time of his life catching monster Lakers and landlocked salmon. Very reputable and if you don’t catch fish, the next charter is free.
Now we are set up ourselves so we don’t do the charters anymore. What we learned from our trips trolling for Lakers was priceless and I use those same techniques when I go out in our boat.

My son would love that. We have a buddy that takes us ice fishing. My son has been after a pike for a while. He had a nice one on this fall but lost it. He fought it too hard and popped off at the surface.
