What would solve a lot of problems in a lot of states IMO...
Is to have an electoral college type of system in the state governor elections also.

This would cancel out the mob rule that many city states have over the entire state.
NY state is probably the best example of this.

But also...
Philadelphia --- Pennsylvania
Chicago --- Illinois
Seattle --- Washington
Portland --- Oregon
etc... etc...

Ever notice that the states that do not have the big city democrat voting base do better in a whole host of categories.

We have Republicans in New York. The problem is that in New York, the Republicans are liberals. That's why the Conservative Party was formed in New York.

In New York, establishment Republicans are simply "Democrat Lite."
