Fixed mag options

Just get 2 lowers, that’s the conclusions that I’ve come to. One that’s NY compliant and another that is not and keep the regular one wherever you travel.

This! Why go the route that a law enforcement officer may or may not consider this or that fixed and go with the hopes that nobody ever gets challenged because they haven’t for the most part yet? So far there have been 3 cases where mag lock devices were questioned.

You can get a lower for less than 50 bucks and complete it with another 50 or so bucks. Buy two. Make one permanently fixed for piece of mind and have the other fully functional. The fixed is a throw away lower that you are only going to use for hunting and range. If you ever needed to go full standard, a swap of a complete standard lower is much faster.

Unless of course you don’t have or will never have a hundred bucks to spare.

NY unSAFE ACT unconstitutional laws are too complicated and is impracticable. I love AR’s and AR pistols and I want to use them the way they’re intended, I don’t want to modify it just to keep the governor happy. If I were to use a NY compliant firearm in a self defense situation where I am totally justified, I’ll probably get arrested/charged/prosecuted just because a firearm was involved. YAY more gun control for NY!

Just got the FC Hook. This thing works very nice. I have Mean Arm mag lock as well and am glad that I didn't install the Mean Arm mag lock. It is a bit expensive, $36.00, but as long as it leaves the option for me to remove the mag. I think it is worth it.
