This thread is just so typical. Whenever there is a pro- gun bill proposed on a state or federal level, it is immediately met with skepticism and doubt. Whenever there is an anti-gun bill proposed on the state or federal level, it is immediately deemed to be destined to become law, no matter how slim the chances. This place really fucking cracks me up. You all really love your misery. No one here ever talks about how far we have come on a national level. For those who think the anti gun crowd is winning, compare ccw maps from ten years ago to now.. what do you see? The vast majority of the country is not NY.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the people who say that is the solution, and it's simple as that, are cowards for saying it's always easy for people to do so or even fair to ask them to uproot their life. That's like telling someone "Just give up your home" and then being at peace that is "OK" to ask someone to have to do. It's not fair that anyone should have to flee oppression in a free nation.
However, similar to battle, sometimes the best strategy is fall back before making an advance. It's the people that only fall back, that only flee and give up on the state -- or live in other states and aren't willing to call what is happening here tyranny and push for intervention -- that are the cowards. They are the apathetic ones that make tyranny possible.

This bill will die. The Florida legislature has a Republican super majority and as everyone knows a Republican pro gun governor. This bill has about as much of a chance passing as a constitutional carry bill does here in NY.
