Flux Defense Raider for Sig 320 and possibly 365

I want to like this but I’m not sure I do. I think it’s a lot to mess with, a lot to carry, and a lot of training for a bit of an advantage but I never seen it here so I thought I’d toss it up here.
It appears to be a brace system for some pistols(only 320 now) but they say they will have the 365 soon and by soon it should have already been out. They say the 365 will have a 6” barrel option, the brace system, optics mount option and silencer option. All that for around $1,000 minus the silencer per the video I watched. Admittedly the price was a noncommittal from the designer. That’s a hearty price tag as well. Cool but I don’t think I’ll be buying it. Thoughts?

Why would you want to put a 365 in it? The point of a 365 is to have an easily concealable and carryable handgun. This isn't that.

Just a talk to see what people think of this type of thing and I’m not really interested in buying it but good point.

If concealability and weight come second then it would be good. It should definitely make your shots more accurate overall at faster speed. That thing looks like it actually has a longer stock than a vz61 so it's long enough for sure. On the vz61 it put's the gun very close to your face which I actually like. It makes the irons actually function like a red dot and is super accurate. Like consistent chipmunk headshots accurate. This set up reminds me of the PM63 RAK which is another awesome and accurate gun. Ian McCollum is just a no so good shot lol.

or sure it has its place like say in a big out bag or in a vehicle but it’s likely not easy to install. I’d have to see the install to see if that would be feasible. It comes with a longer barrel at 6” so increased accuracy should be certain. How accurate do you need to be? That’s where the bug out bag or car comes into play with longer shots or the need to hunt with it.

If I was 17 and a rabid video gamer, I might salivate over this pile of trash. Otherwise, who needs a full brace and foregrip (extra mag doubles as a grip, right?) for a 365? It’s not like the gun is heavy, has huge recoil, or is inaccurate. The 365 is the opposite of all of those things.

I'd say to make it even more accurate and even less recoil. Some of that coming from making it heavier. And less recoil. So I suppose increased accuracy is the main benefit. I could see this filling more of a tactical team scenario role, but at that point you would probably have the means of just getting a dedicated gun to fill the role.

My 365 is solidly accurate @ 20-25 yds (and I consider myself a very good example of “barely mediocre” with a handgun.) If I want even less recoil and more accuracy I use my 320. If I want a shoulder mounted rig I choose a rifle. The Flux is aimed directly at the tactiCOOL crowd. Sure, it’s kind of cool, and it might help a few people who lack skill, but the same can be said about adult diapers: they're both shitty after you use em. What I’m getting at is this- yeah, it’s a neat idea, it looks cool, but it meets a need that doesn’t truly exist for the 365 (or 320 version.) There are other, dedicated, purpose designed options available. It’s a range toy, which has its place. Don’t get me wrong. It’s certainly not a carry option in NYS.

I haven't tried anything flux, but I do use and have experience with a very similar 20/20 brace for a full size glock and it has a few key differences.

#1.
As I mentioned, I didn't use a concealed carry pistol. They do have them built for CC glocks though. I don't think it's a bad idea giving people the option if that's all they have or if that's what they prefer. Nothing wrong with a company giving its customers more options and freedom. Having said that, no matter how small the gun is, it won't conceal any better than a full sized handgun with a braced chassis mounted on it.

Legality. At least in NY, These flux braces have the secondary hand grips for their spare mag wells built into the chassis. The 20/20 does not, and the spare mag holder they offer is an added accessory. Choosing to have one on or off on the chassis is important in my opinion.

The 20/20 brace doesn't interfere with any mechanics of the gun or cover the barrel or act as a shroud unless you purchase the optional shrouds. You're not pulling out pins or messing with much of anything at all. It has one tapered allen head bolt that locks the entire chassis together on the factory rail attachment of the gun. It has a few optional extended charging levers that work exceptionally well and weigh next to nothing. My setup also uses an optional adjustable holster which works nicely and can actually be concealed under heavier jackets with a thin attached sling mounted too. The holster will work for other recovery tactical mounts as well without the brace.

Definitely not a range toy. I don't know about the flux braces, but Yes, it is much more fun to shoot than a regular handgun, MUCH more... but they are 100X more accurate and easier to shoot like an SBR with reduced recoil and follow up shots. You also have the ability to make quicker mag changes, all while allowing a non reciprocating optic to be mounted on the chassis (You can still have a slide mounted optic if you want it).

Just because it looks "tactical", doesn't make these a gimmick or novelty. I have a side mount optic, spare magholder, mounted light, and 3 points of contact not including the sling. Shootablity wise, there's no comparison to a regular duty pistol. Concealablity wise, these types of set ups are not going to be great under clothes for the average framed man, but you can get specific packs and bags they make that allow full concealment with with rapid deployment as an option. You're just not going to be carrying one inside the waistband. When the brace is folded, they do fit easily inside the medium and smaller compartments of a normal back pack.

Even without the folding brace attached, it's still a step above a basic handgun for duty use IMO. The federal laws make pistol stabilizers/braces illegal then legal again seemingly every 6 months or a year. Worst case scenario, they are permanently banned forever and you end up cutting off the folding mount so it cannot be mounted again, guess what, you still have a nice pistol with a single point swivel, dual side pictinny rails for lights and lasers, optics mount, holster attachment, and spar mag holder, and a total of three points of contact for retention minus the brace. So not too bad.

Only use I see for this is in a bug out bag or scenario or long distance shooting with a pistol. I thought it was best so I posted it. I’m not sure if it ever came to fruition.
