Flying with firearms.

I think I have most of the answers online but wanted to get some advise from people with experience.

Do I need to purchase a safe or a heavy duty case (for 2 pistols)? Or will the cases that the guns came in from the manufacturer suffice? The Springfield Armory case is pretty beefy but does have a billboard that says it is a firearm. Should I just get a plain case?

As long as it can be locked is sufficient. It's up to you if you feel that a plastic case with plastic hinges is secure enough. Personally, I'd prefer something a little more secure.

I used to use the cases that my Glock pistols came in, but it became a problem when I started traveling with more than one firearm. I've since graduated to a Pelican case.
