I have forgotten what it is like to hear a democrat speak and not have this urge to watch them burn in a lake of fire, until I watched president Carter speak like a statesman.

Carter has always been pretty good at following his conscience, and not necessarily the party line. He was a disaster as a president, but has done a lot of good as an ex-president.
