Food plots for deer

I have maybe a 40x40 area that is low level ground in a valley so it floods here and there and I don’t have anything to till it up with. I do have a small rototiller, but it’s not big enough to do that area. Anyone know of anything I could plant there to feed and attract deer? There cover in my area, but no food. I think adding a good plot would be greatly helpful to my hunting success.
I was thinking clover because I know people add it to lawns for nitrogen fixing and you don’t need to work the ground, but I’m sure there is better feed options. Any thoughts?

Clover is probably one of the easiest to plant/grow. But if it floods periodically, that might not be a good spot unless you can add some drainage. For the land, mow it, kill it all with roundup, wait two weeks and plant. Small tiller will work, but you’ll be at it or a day. If you have a four wheeler, you could rent a pull behind disc harrow.

Agri fab tow behind tiller

Have a chance to by used agri fab 36 inch briggs motor tiller. Anyone have one or have any input. There 1100 new 650 for this one. Havent looked yet. Worth my time?

First whatever u plant get seed designed for deer. ( cow clover is not good deer clover)

clover is a great spring food plot but goes dormant in hot dry summer. In southern ny season it could again go dormant before hunting season.
If you are looking for a hunting plot I suggest one of the late summer plantings for fall hunting. Biological and whitetail institute both have mixes for fall hunting plots

Thanks guys. I’ll look into those products.
The flooding is short term and nothing for more than a day or so if that. It’s at the base of a creek and it may flood during periods of heavy rain, but recedes quickly.
