@Willjr75 i watch a few of the videos from FloridaCarry.org .. they can carry open if fishing hunting or camping .. i watch the guy that goes all over FL fishing open carry .. last one i watched he had to AR 22lr cal and pistol open carry ..
8 min mark and on .. even the Sargent shows up that he meet at a other carry event ..

Thanks for the explanation. I don't agree with open carrying or advertising like this 'sock' does, so my question remains....WHY? Idiotic IMO.

I don't agree with open carry either although I recognize the right. I think it's stupid to lose your tactical advantage.
They are doing it because according to Florida statute, the firearm must be concealed. So by putting this sock over it, they are within the law because it's concealed. They do it to bring awareness to the open carry fight.
Why in the hell do all these cops on Youtube say they get nervous when someone has a gun? I REALLY do not get this at all.

From the vid i posted above the guy talks a bit about doing the open carry when fishing , i think was in Miami area .. the LEO there had no knowledge of the law .. 12 LEO .. gun pointed at him, .. guys got balls but is getting the message out how ever they can .. .. and the Sargent in that vid that knew of him and what happened sent out notices .. hey its legal to open carry to them and i think to other Dept's ...

In this climate I might if I were a cop. There’s been enough cops that have been assassinated by some crazy ass walking up and shooting them.
I agree and see the hypocrisy because cops open carry and see guns all day long so why would seeing a gun make them nervous? IDK.
