For those who carry babyguns (sub compact)G26 vs 43?

I have shot all size glocks. The baby glocks have more felt recoil than the compact/full size. The 27 is not that pleasant to shoot. It's missing the light rail Will. Not a jack of all trades sir.

It feels the same to me as a 19 recoil wise. Maybe your hands are smaller?

It's a carry piece. Why would you want a torch to kill your night vision?

There are many ways to skin a cat unless you really need the rail to attach a Peq 15 to it or a bipod or forward grip.

Yup. The cz po7 is nice. I had one with the manual safety. The trigger was awesome for what it was.

Never really carried it. Sold it. I dont miss it.

Honestly stock p07 trigger isn't horrible but not the best but again it's a $400 gun.

I dropped $7 for a CGW reduced power trigger return spring and $24 for the defensive spring kit (18# hammer spring and lighter firing pin spring to match it) and a little polishing, the trigger is like night and day. Going to eventually do the whole trigger kit ($224) which I hear makes the DA/SA one of the best on the market. So $400 in the gun $224 in the trigger $624 all together. So like $50 more than a stock glock can't really beat it

I love my 43. The difference in width between the two might not seem like much to some, but for my size and body type, there's no way I could conceal the 26. The 43 barely conceals completely on me as it is, but it does. I wasn't even sure that I'd be able to conceal anything around my waist. In addition to that, the grip width vs length of the 26 makes it very unwieldy for me. I can't get enough purchase around the circumference of the grip with my little sausage fingers. With the 43, that's not a problem. Those of you with different builds and hand sizes will likely not have these issues. Wish the 26 worked for me, cuz it's a very sensible choice, but it doesn't. YMMV

I did switch it and No switching doesn't make it SAO like a 1911, it just gives you the ability to carry it cocked and locked, you can still thumb down the hammer and carry it DA/SA, or keep second strike capabilities, 2 things a 1911 can't do

As far as Jack of all trades, my 26 serves that purpose just like a snub nosed .38 serve millions of households in the past. I don't understand why people need a super large gun for home defense and the small one for carry because it is a semi auto when in the past they did not for revolvers. Rarely did a person use a snub nose for concealed carry and once they got home, locked it up because it was now useless at home, and transitioned to a long six inch barrel for home defense.

I do agree that they should have put a rail on it just because but it isn't a deal breaker that would make me rethink and purchase something else that isn't compatible with magazines of other models, the abundance of aftermarket parts, and and carbines that take it's magazines.

I believe you are correct. They did it to make you purchase the next step up in the 19 in the past.

Now they'll probably put it on the Gen 5 so that you can buy that one.

I don’t own a 43 but have shot them several times it a great pistol!! I do own a g26 and believe it’s the best ccw pistol because it has the max capacity FUAC in the smallest package.

But it's still a sub 3.5" barrel which you lose some bullet potential, well a lot that's why companies are now trying to develop ammo to reliably work in baby barrels

My example was it acted like a 1911.....cocked and locked.

Mine was real nice. Maybe sometimes i get lucky

Was yours a duty or a gen 2? And from what I have read the stock triggers are hit or miss

Not sure. I got it 3-5 years ago. Not sure. Time flies.

I have been runnjng 1911 since the late 80s. I was totally shocked on how good the plastic gun trigger actually was......but i guess i got lucky.

G-code makes an appendix holster for the 43 with TLR6, but sadly not the 26 with the TLR6. Might try it on the 43 anyway. I would prefer not saw off the grip of a 19. I hope a future 26 has the rail.

Not Glock, but when I am wearing cargo shorts, my main carry gun is the XDS chambered in 45acp. It is everything that I need in a self preservation gun. I do carry a second magazine as well. I like the way the gun feels and I love the way it shoots. I have double stack guns as well like the Glock 27 (40), I can conceal all my guns just fine.

For me, I just like the XDS.

I love my XDS also. My XDS 4.0 9mm is my go to semi for CCW (and the only semi I own currently). I love mine with the 7 and 8 round mag. When I don't have my XDS or want to carry a BUG I have my new found favorite...SW 442 in .38+p on me.

It's not that bad. I just like to give Will a tough time. I prefer 200 lumens for inside though. It's a nice compact light. Just a bit weaker than I'm used to.

I would like a 26 with a rail. Might chop a 19 to 26 to get it.

I considered doing that with a Lone Wolf frame since the grip angle is different to see what it feels like but decided against it since the shorter barrel is more comfortable when sitting in a bucket seat of a car. I wear the pistol low.
