Is this NY legal if it's considered a pistol? I don't know how much it weighs, so if it's less than 50oz would this go on a pistol permit or would this be considered like a pistol length AR, so no go. Thanks for the input.

No. It would be an "assault weapon" unless it had a fixed magazine
