There are lot of other Parties out there, but none have significant clout which is why they sign on with either R or D.Andrew Yang as the leader is pretty scary. He’s pretty far left from what I know of him. I’d absolutely support a third party mainstream candidate that didn’t want to fundamentally change America and just wanted to manage its finances. We don’t need radical change and have been successful for hundreds of years. If Biden has his way he may end that.
Correct. My point was simply that if this was a middle of the road party that said I’m going to manage the country and not try to fundamentally change the country they might get some sway. I think most people are middle of the road and would be happy with that. Even I would be because it might be more consistent and not the boomerang effect of Obama-Trump-to Biden. Don’t get me wrong I was mostly happy with trump, but middle of the road era were so then they switched to Biden. Now middle of the readers aren’t happy with Biden so they will switch sides again. Consistency may be better. There are lot of other Parties out there, but none have significant clout which is why they sign on with either R or D.
Yang's party may detract from candidates in the short term, but in an election where its down to one Republican and one Democrat the Dems always vote for their Party pick.
Term Limits ARE needed (notice how the House is now talking term limits for scotus, but not themselves) simply because Conservative Justices hold sway, but if it were the other way around (which it was for the last hundred years) they'd shudder the thought of limits.
You have to understand the basic principle that Democrats are duplicitous and once you do then they're easy to expose.
isn't Yang that nut-ball that wanted to give every American a "living wage" ~~~ government free money.Andrew Yang as the leader is pretty scary. He’s pretty far left from what I know of him. I think it was every American 18-64 $1,000 or $1,500/month. I just find it odd that they are breaking off the mainstream parties and they are pretty extreme and they think they will be successful. What’s the difference from the current third parties? Again a party that wants to make minor modifications and just manage the finances I think would be pretty popular and have a chance.isn't Yang that nut-ball that wanted to give every American a "living wage" ~~~ government free money.
I respectfully disagree with you sir. I don't think their pay is out of line. What infuriates me is they all seem to get rich while in government. Look at pelosi's husband. That's where the corruption is. I'd gladly pay them $5 million a year if they created a balanced budget.I think the problem is we are paying congress critters far to much money, and allowing then to stick around far to long, especially seeing as it was supposed to be a voluntary job
The longer you're in Congress the more Committees (that's where everything really happens) and Committe Chairmanships one controls, the more engrained, and powerful they become, that Power corrupts; always has, always will, it's the nature of Humans and why Congressional terms are only two years, not the two decades average they've become.I think the problem is we are paying congress critters far to much money, and allowing then to stick around far to long, especially seeing as it was supposed to be a voluntary job
That would be NY State, not NYC averages. We should not only elect them but we the people should vote in everything they get or they should get salary and benefits that represent their districts.
nys senators should get the average pay and benefits that NY’ers get.
Start by turning off the A/C in the halls of congress.I think the problem is we are paying congress critters far to much money, and allowing then to stick around far to long, especially seeing as it was supposed to be a voluntary job
I've said that for a long time with a slight change. They should get the median pay and benefits. Averages are more skewed by outliers. If that's not enough for them, then perhaps they should figure out a way to improve the life of the normal person. We should not only elect them but we the people should vote in everything they get or they should get salary and benefits that represent their districts.

Yes. The last sentence is normally how I end it. If they want a raise get us one and then they can have one the year following.I've said that for a long time with a slight change.
