Found my holy grail of reloading scales. Early edition RCBS 10-10 made by Ohaus. A little corrosion on the pan (black powder)? They went out of production several years ago and I regretted not buying one. Seller was a FFL estate liquidator. Not even posted, I picked it up direct and saved shipping too.

Everyone should have an old school scale and know how to use it.
We should also take notes to reload by volume and do it as precise as we can should anything else fail.
Another basic skill is to know how to make bullets, powder and primers for BP cartriges just to feel like an early explorer.

did some of that a few years ago .. made some 12ga BP shot loads .. .. was funny at the skeet shoot .. and i hit the clays too ..

now making Powder in NY .. that might get you called some really bad names by FUAC .. LOL ..

With the newer generation using electronic scales and the older generation lieing off there should be a decent supply of the older scales becoming available.

I have two sets of older scales and a couple electronic as well.

Sweet scale for sure ! I have had mine so long the internet wasn't invented yet, LOL! I paid $35 bucks for it out of a Catalog that I can't even remember which one it came from! Still works great. I still use it to check my Dillon electronic scale!
