Found some .30-.30 but do I really need it that bad?! Passed

Been keeping an eye out for .30-.30 as I love my lever gun. Never around as I know with other rifle ammo.. but starting to see the 308's and even 243 again latey but last night getting my DMP's at Geneseo Walmart I saw 2 boxes of .30-.30 and go excited till I panned down and saw 26.99/box. I did a hard pass as I dont want to pay that much for it. I see some online ammo retailer still have winchester for 15 a box but never in stock....today looking I wonder if that will be the "new" price when it does come around as I saw some inline store have it but for....yep you guess it ....26.99.... OH man..will that be the new .30-.30 normal........

Time will tell but again I love my lever gun and with deer coming up soon. But I never know what to use for hunting... I keep switching around every year...... got my first with a trusty old shot gun...but also got one with my 243....

I got new sights for my Marlin I want to put on and sight up but.....not at that price......maybe will wait a little longer and see what happens...

Damn... Just griping I guess.........

I grow my own. I got enough 30-30 for at least my life time, I need 45-70 ( any grain ) but Im not paying 3 or 4 bucks a round. And Buffalo Bore is at $5,17/round. BB has always been rich, but that ridiculous

That @ $15.00 a box price is from before the shortage and has not been in-stock since, when they do get it in rest assured it will be more then the ammo you just saw at Walmart.

I don't remember the last time I saw 30-30 in the wild. But anymore, if you can find good quality rifle ammo for under $2 per, it's almost a good price

Even with primers at $100 dollars per 1k you could roll your own for 50 cents or less. Did you save all of your brass?

Shocked you saw 30-30 on the shelf. If I was running a 30-30 I have to say I might grab them even at that price

And .243? My personal favorite caliber. Never shot a rifle anymore accurate being out of a Winchester model 70 with a bull barrel. Folks are telling me they are paying $40 a box. If you saw them cheaper, well you know what to do

It’s all coming down. Rebates will be back soon because people aren’t spending money. Watch in a 6 months to a year the prices will be better. Smith and Wesson sales have dropped like crazy from what I heard.

If I saw 30-30 ammo at that price and needed or wanted it I would buy it, you may not see it again anytime soon. I reload for all my centerfire rifles and even with high prices you have to buy while you can because so many are looking for the same items.

If I were you I’d go back and grab both boxes . I doubt you’ll find it cheaper for quite a while, if ever. ALL lever gun ammo has been getting pricy . Gunshow sales are fairly brisk at $32 to $35 a box all day long . I’ve got a fair amount of 30-30 and .35 rem. But I’m always on the lookout for more.
