Found some old 12GA..

Hey everyone
Found some 12GA in my grandfathers garage
Been there for atleast 25+ years if I’d have to guess..if not more..garage isn’t climate controlled..all were loose in a random box.

my question is…do you think they’re safe to shoot?

If they look clean, sure. If there's any signs of corrosion, bulging, swelling etc anywhere, then I'd leave them in the "dud" box at my club.

I've fired good conditioned paper hulled shells that were used to train WWII gunners without issue.
"Good conditioned" being a key factor before even contemplating on firing them.
If the shells are in good shape, you shouldn't have an issue.
I would fire them singularly if using a semi auto shotgun and with an IC choked barrel in case they might be slugs.

i have a box of 25 for sale .. the primers are still good .. 20 bucks per primer LOL ..

these were from a old gun owner estate sale .. been up in the kitchen cupboard for years

As long as they chambered, out of a pump action I bet they would still fire without incident. A shotgun is just a tube with generous clearances. I could see these just losing a lot of pressure to push the slug. If it fits it ships.
