So how does that have anything in common with guns? I'm trying to figure out your first post. Both guns and weed are vilified and neither is dangerous so I get that. Comparing guns and weed to all drugs doesn't make sense. Crack is in a world of its own.

For defending their castle? Ramifications? There should be none. Perhaps there are ramifications for choosing to live in or near the areas where this element exists. There are already laws on the books for b&e, burglary, possession of stolen property, etc. Making drugs, or guns, or "hate speech" illegal because some politician is dumb (or dishonest) enough to tell you the extra laws are going to deter them is stupidity at best.

Actually, I'll take it a step farther, you shouldn't wait for it to happen (which sounds like an over dramatization), but you should always be aware of your surroundings and be ready to act. In the mean time, if its "impossible" to move, I'd take a more proactive approach and try to create a community of like-minded anti crackhead coalition. None of this requires extra laws.

See my post below the one you quoted. You're free to live where you want. If you can tolerate it, fine, if not, you should move or try to change it. Asking for more laws doesn't change it.

Back to my original point... vilifying guns, drugs or "hate speech" is, IMO, a cop out by politicians and the uneducated masses who believe everything they're told. The wars on drugs, "gun violence", and "hate" are unwinnable wars. They just take the focus off the real issues that politicians can't solve.

I appreciate your point of view here, I just strongly disagree with it.
