An open letter to Governess Kathy Hochul:
Gov. Hochul:
If you have problems reading this or understanding it, please have some one read it to you and explain the content.
Your actions in the last 2+ years as Governor of NY State have been nothing short of moronic. Your statewide approval rating is at 34% and continues to drop. Now, your latest piece of nonsense really shows how incompetent you are.
Your idea to put a roof over the Kensington Expressway has to be one of the all time dumbest projects ever proposed by a NYS Governor. Cost estimates are already over ONE BILLION DOLLARS!
This highway has existed in its current design since 1958--well over 65 years. Your ludicrous proposal to put a roof over it is a non-solution to a non-problem and is a complete waste of taxpayer dollars.
Buffalo and Erie County has an antiquated and substandard Holding Center (jail) and Correctional Facility. The county is struggling to find funding to replace the two facilities and consolidate them into one. The cost estimate recently came in at $700 million dollars---unaffordable for the county. The 1930's era jail is totally run down, depressing, obsolete and a bad enviornment for staff, correctional officers and inmates. Instead of throwing a billion dollars+ down the drain on your joke of roofing an expressway, how about funding replacement of these facilities? This very necessary project can serve the pressing needs of the county for the next 60+ years.
You continue to make a fool of yourself with comments like people voting for President Trump are "Un-American." You are looked upon by a majority of people and members of your own party as a political and intellectual lightweight who stumbled your way into the Governor's office, and as a tool to be manipulated by the will of NY City. Now, you want to roof an expressway for some politically correct nonsense symbolism, believing it will enhance your image. It will take a lot more than a joke of an unnecessary public works project to do that.
Wake up and smell the coffee, Hochul. You have made a mess out of everything you have touched in New York State.
