Stop the bleed is a DHS initiative. It is a campaign that provides free training to the public on bleeding control via the use of tourniquets, wound packing and pressure dressings.
Dutchess County is offering a free "stop the bleed" class on October 25 @ 7 pm. The class is going to cover bleeding control with tourniquets, pressure dressings and packing wounds and hemostatic agents. It's a free class in Poughkeepsie. The class is filling up so if you want to go be sure to contact them ASAP. Spread the word as well.
I'll be attending with some fellow LEOs and with my family and some friends of mine.
